Charlotte Gas Prices Drop Nearly 11 Cents in the Last Week
Have you noticed a shift in the recent gas prices in Charlotte? WBTV reports that gas prices have dropped 10.8 cents in the last week in Charlotte. Drivers are paying on average, $3.90 per gallon in Charlotte, according to Gas Buddy reports. That price is 2 cents higher than the previous 10-year high of $3.88 a gallon in April 2012.
Charlotte gas prices are about 30 cents per gallon lower than the average price a month ago and over $1 higher than what the average was a year ago, according to Gas Buddy. The cheapest gas price in the city is $3.45 per gallon and the most expensive is $4.19 per gallon, which is a difference of 74 cents.
“Gas prices have continued to move in the right direction – down- saving Americans approximately $100 million every day compared to when prices peaked about a month ago. And, the more good news is on the horizon: the national average this week will likely fall back under the critical $4 per gallon mark,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
