New Charlotte Rideshare Service Offers Only Luxury Cars
If you’ve ever ordered an Uber or Lyft, only to be disappointed by the car that picked you up, then Andre Powell is your man. Powell is the local entrepreneur behind Goldsainte, a new rideshare service in Charlotte that offers a decidedly higher-end experience than the typical Uber ride.
What makes Goldsainte different? Mostly the cars. Rest assured, you won’t be picked up in a rusty hatchback. Goldsainte’s upscale fleet includes a Bentley Bentayga, Bentley Flying Spur, Mercedes-Maybach, and even a Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Ooh, la, la.
On top of the world-class wheels, Goldsainte allows you to further personalize your rideshare experience. For example, you can select the music and preferred seat temperature. You’ll also get a customized goodie bag that you can fill with snacks, gum, mints, a phone charger, and mini-bottles of Bacardi rum. Now we’re talking!
According to Axios, the initial membership fee is $249, and members ride for $99 an hour. Non-members will pay $149 an hour and can bring up to two guests along for the ride. However, if you want the Rolls-Royce, it’s $499 per hour for members and $549 per hour for non-members.
The company says all of their drivers are vetted and trained. Then again, who says you need a driver? You can also get behind the wheel of one of these luxury cars yourself. Goldsainte members will be able to rent and drive vehicles owned by other members, and vice versa.
Are you ready to roll in style? Rides can be scheduled from 5:00 a.m. to midnight daily through the app (available on the App Store and Google Play) or Goldsainte website. You can travel as far as 50 miles in any direction of the Uptown Charlotte. Extended-distance rides will take you as far as Raleigh, NC or Columbia, SC.
