North Carolina Town Named One Of The Best Places For Families To Live
When it comes to finding a place for families to live, what do you want? For most people, good schools and access to quality healthcare are at the top of the list. It also doesn’t hurt to be near a major airport. Having plenty of recreational options is always nice. And as we get older, resources for seniors become more important. Those are all things that go into making a good place to call home.
Living in the greater Charlotte region, we’re able to check off a lot of the aforementioned boxes. But one local town in particular stands out above the rest in our area. Fortune has released its 2023 list of the 50 Best Places To Live For Families and Concord, North Carolina received some high praise.
The town of almost 109,000 people landed at number 20 on the list. According to Fortune, “Concord feels like a reprieve from the new construction and swelling population of its metropolitan neighbor Charlotte, while still offering lots to keep you busy.” Some of the highlights mentioned in the ranking include the quality of the Cabarrus County School District, Concord Mills, Charlotte Motor Speedway, and the pig races at the annual Cabarrus County Fair.
One of the numbers that stood out to me was the 2022 median sale price for single family residence in Concord of $348,896. That’s getting harder to find where I live in Charlotte. Click here to see some more stats on Concord and the rest of Fortune’s Best Places To Live For Families.
