This 6′ Foot Punk Skeleton Will Make Your House Rockin’ For Halloween

Usually, I am a fan of seasons and not rushing holidays. For whatever reason, this year I’m ready for fall! Maybe it’s because it’s been so crazy hot this summer or maybe it’s because I’m getting older and just don’t like the heat as much as a kid when I was younger. No matter the reason, I’m ready to get spooky now! If you love Halloween, there’s now a 6′-foot punk rock skeleton you need to make your yard totally rockin’ this year.

I’ve already been buying a few Halloween items as I’m planning on turning the Christmas tree in my room into a Halloween tree in early September. For summer, I’ve had it filled with all kinds of flower ornaments, plastic flowers, paper flowers and butterflies. It’s pretty, but I’m ready for a change. Earlier this week, I purchased a string of retro Halloween masks to put on the tree. I only bought one because I want to see how it looks before buying more. The masks are the ones we wore in the 70’s and 80’s. I’m thinking of making my Halloween tree theme retro this year.

Since I live in an apartment, I don’t have room for massive Halloween decorations. If you do, Costo has a 6′-foot animated punk rocker skeleton that is a must have! According to PopSugar, the skeleton has a red mohawk, red eyes that light up, and a killer gravestone electric guitar. The motion sensor-activated skeleton plays music and sings, talks, is multilingual, and has a British accent. How freakin’ cool! If you get this, you must give the skeleton a rock star name like Sid Vicious.

Not only does the skeleton talk, he throws out bad puns like, ‘Is it me, or does the crowd seem a little dead tonight?’ HA! For a cool Halloween skeleton like this, you’d think it’d be very expensive. However, the punk rocker is only $160. That’s not bad at all! This skeleton can be used inside or outside via power cord, and it comes with a timer.

As I’m typing this, I’m looking around my apartment to see if I could fit this thing inside. And I can! I have high ceilings in my apartment, so ‘Sid’ would fit. I’m pretty sure my dogs would freak out if put this thing in the house. My balcony is long enough and tall enough for the skeleton, so maybe I can put him outside.

  • 1. Choose A Cohesive Theme

    At Halloween, you’ve got plenty of themes to pick from to ensure your kitchen stays on trend, whilst achieving that spooky effect!

    If you’re looking for a Victorian theme, use items such as bats, potion-filled bottles & gothic candlesticks that create a mysterious atmosphere.

    If a more luxe Halloween style is your vibe, try black pampas grass in a dark vase. Consider ditching the classic orange and black colors and move to white monochrome with gold accessories to accent.

    Or for a more rustic fall style, choose soft autumnal shades of wheat, rust, and russet with plenty of natural touches like autumn leaf wreaths!

  • 2. Incorporate Nature

    Fall is all about nature. And with the leaves turning and painting a colorful picture, why not incorporate these natural elements in your Halloween home décor?

    Head to the pumpkin patch and pick some irregularly shaped pumpkins and gourds.  Or grab some branches outside to incorporate into your autumnal display. Opt for branches with crisp golden brown, orange & red leaves to inject some color into your Halloween scheme.

    If going natural isn’t quite your style, you could also use dark wooden kitchenware such as chopping boards or wooden spoons to bring some of the natural world into your home.

  • 3. Color Scheme

    At Halloween, as alluded to above, the majority of people opt for the classic black and orange color combination. However, consider some of these other options this year:

    • Natural neutrals: A more muted color palette can either complement your traditional black and orange decorations or stand out on its own, with rustic and natural fabrics helping things pop.
    • Metallics: Make your Halloween looks a bit more luxe with golds, silvers, and bronze tones – you could spray paint pumpkins or pick up some gold accents to go with the rest of your decor.
    • Pretty pastels: Spooky Halloween decorations not really for you? If your kitchen is decorated in lighter shades, why not tap into the ‘pastel goth’ trend with candy-pink pumpkins and cute light-purple bat decorations

  • 4. Use Lighting To Set The Mood

    A spooky season deserves spooky lighting. And it’s an easy way to up the aesthetic. From cleverly placed lights to candles burning, lighting is a powerful way to help your kitchen feel cozier this autumn. Go with the ever-popular spiced or pumpkin-scented candles or opt for LED tealights.

    Or take it to the next level and be a little more dramatic, with pre-lit pumpkins, neon signs, projector lights, and more – turn off the lights, turn on your kitchen uplighting, and let your statement lights do the talking! In fact I just bought a neon ghost because why not?

  • 5. Faux Bouquets Or Seasonal Plants

    Faux floral arrangements are a perfect way to dress a dining table or breakfast bar with slightly more natural gothic vibes. A seasonal arrangement is always the perfect centerpiece.

    If you want to create your own arrangement, look for seasonal varieties like ferns, Protea, Gypsophila, autumn leaves, dried stems, and dark grasses, or pick more colorful options like burnt orange roses, sunflowers, carnations, or gerberas.
