Who Serves The Best Mac And Cheese In The Carolinas?
It’s the ultimate comfort food, isn’t it? I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t like mac and cheese. I’m not sure I want to.
The problem with something being so popular is that lots of restaurants make it and they all say that their recipe is the best. But how can that be? If only there were some way for the public to weigh in on the matter.
BuzzFeed turned to the reviews on Yelp to determine the public’s favorite mac and cheese from restaurants in each state. Before I looked at the results, I asked the two biggest mac and cheese fans I know for their opinions on where to get the goods in Charlotte. Both of my sons named fast food chains: Bojangles’ and Chick-fil-A.
My favorite mac and cheese is usually the last mac and cheese I ate. I recently had a delicious side of mac and cheese at Lebowski’s on East Boulevard, so that’s my favorite. Well, until my next dish of really good mac and cheese.
As for the Yelp results, the top choice in North Carolina is Fork N Cork in Wilmington. South Carolina’s highest rated mac and cheese is served at Cru Café in Charleston. I remember eating there ten years ago. Back then, that was my favorite mac and cheese. What can I say? My system works for me.
