New Whiskey Bar Taking Flight At Charlotte Douglas International Airport
If flying makes you uneasy, you’ll soon have a new way to calm your nerves at Charlotte Douglas International Airport. Great Wagon Road Distilling Co. is opening a second location of their bar called The Broken Spoke in Concourse A later this month.
Established in 2013, the Charlotte-based distillery makes a variety of spirits, including an award-winning American single malt whiskey called Rúa. HMSHost, which oversees restaurants and concessions at the airport, is assisting Great Wagon Road Distilling with this venture.
You don’t actually have to buy a plane ticket to enjoy a drink at The Broken Spoke. The original location is inside the distillery at 227 Southside Drive in Charlotte and it’s open seven days a week.
