Dunkin’ And Auntie Anne’s Are Offering DIY Kits
The DIY spirit is strong in America these days. Many people have tapped into their creativity to become prolific makers of all sorts of things while in quarantine. Food is probably at the top of the list.
Dunkin’ is now making it fun and easy for anyone to become donut makers. Well, donut decorators anyway. PopSugar reports that you can now get DIY donut kits at select Dunkin’ locations around the country. The kits are sold in small boxes of four donuts for $6 or large boxes of nine donuts for $10. Each box is also equipped with frostings (chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla) and cups of sprinkles (rainbow, chocolate, and D-shaped).
The idea for the kits came from a Dunkin’ employee in Concord, CA. Norma Valkenaar asked if she could take some donuts, frosting, and sprinkles for her two nephews at the end of her shift. After seeing how much the boys loved the experience, Norma and her boss created the kits and delivered them to nearby homes. Dunkin’ franchise owners across the country quickly followed suit.
This sounds like a fun and tasty activity for parents and kids to do together. You’ll want to call to find a Dunkin’ location that offers the DIY donut kits. Here’s what one of the small kits looks like:
