America’s Favorite Hot Sauce Brands
Tacos, nachos, pizza, chicken pot pie, casserole, soup, mac & cheese, eggs…they all taste better to me with a few shakes of hot sauce. Like the commercial says, I put that $#!% on everything.
There’s a seemingly endless number of hot sauce brands out there. A lot of folks have a go-to favorite, though, whether it’s a spicy Mexican sauce like Cholula, a fiery Asian-style Sriracha, or a tangy American pepper sauce like Tabasco.

Grocery delivery service Instacart put out a list of the hot sauce brands that are the most popular among shoppers. If only the presidential election had been this easy to sort out:
- Cholula Hot Sauce
- Frank’s Red Hot
- Huy Fong Foods Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
- Tabasco Pepper Sauce
- Tapatio Salsa Picante
- Texas Pete Hot Sauce (made in Winston-Salem, NC!)
- La Costeña Mexican Hot Sauce
- Crystal Hot Sauce
- Taco Bell Hot Sauce
- Ninja Squirrel Sriracha Hot Sauce
My personal favorite is Crystal Hot Sauce (#8) from Louisiana, but I love the name of that last one. Ninja Squirrel is a Whole Foods product. You can find more information about all of the top ten at Eat This, Not That!
