Eric Clapton’s Yacht Is Going On The Auction Block
So you’ve always wanted a yacht but could never find the one that was luxurious enough. Well, big spender, you’re in luck because Eric Clapton just happens to have a beauty of a boat for sale.
Reuters reports the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer bought the 156-foot yacht in 2005 and refurbished it extensively in 2008. It was built in 1992, has six staterooms, and can accommodate 14 people. The name on the stern is “Va Bene.” I’m a little disappointed it’s not called “Slowhand” or the “Lay Down Sally.”
Clapton’s yacht will be auctioned off on November 28th at the “Artifacts of Hollywood and Music” event. L.A.-based GWS Auctions expects the price tag to be somewhere in the 7-to-10-million-dollar range. You can see it here.
The auction will also include an Eric Clapton prototype guitar from 1983 that was never manufactured and some Elvis Presley memorabilia. If you could have any piece of music memorabilia, what would it be?
