Ben & Jerry’s Making Safe Ice Cream For Dogs
Dog lovers know that dairy and sugar are not the best things for our pets to eat. We also know that if a little ice cream falls on the floor, we’re not stopping our dogs from cleaning it up. So why not give our faithful four-legged floor cleaners a dessert that’s safe for them?
Food & Wine reports that Ben and Jerry’s is getting into the pet food business with a safe line of ice cream made for dogs. They’re called Doggie Desserts and they come in two flavors. Pontch’s Mix is made with peanut butter and pretzel swirls. Rosie’s Batch is made with a sunflower butter base, pumpkin, and mini cookies.
The Doggie Desserts will be sold in individual four-ounce mini-cups ($2.99 each) or in a four-count multi-pack ($7.99). You should be able to find them in supermarkets, big-box retailers, and select pet stores. Ben & Jerry’s is also taking online pre-orders for the four-packs.
Your canine can now enjoy two flavors from the Vermont-based brand. https://t.co/ibv98dbDbi
