Queen Elizabeth II’s Hilarious Response To Clueless Tourists
Say what you will about the Royal Family and their recent drama, but at least one member of the House of Windsor knows how to have a laugh. This story may cast Great Britain’s reigning monarch in a whole new light for you.
Queen Elizabeth II loves spending time at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. There are tours of the grounds on a regular basis, so the monarch tries to fly under the radar. That plan worked better than expected at one point.
Her Majesty’s former protection officer shared with the Daily Star that while he was walking with her at Balmoral, a group of American tourists came up and asked if she lived in the area. The monarch told them that she “lived nearby.” When asked by the group if she had ever met the queen, she said, “No, but this policeman has,” pointing to her longtime aide.
Those tourists never had a clue they were speaking with Queen Elizabeth II herself. And we wonder why the English still think of us as treasonous peasants.
