These 11 Beer Brands Are Going Away
All good things must come to an end. And even some not-so-good things. It looks like the “ice beer” trend of the ’90s may finally be fading away. Food & Wine reports that Molson Coors is discontinuing 11 of its economy beer brands, a few of which fall under the “ice” category.
While it appears that some well-known beer brands will be going away, they’re really spin-offs of more successful products that will continue to be sold. For example, Mickey’s Ice is a goner, but you’ll still be able to get the original Mickey’s “big mouth.” Thank goodness for that.
Here are the brands that are getting the axe:
- Hamm’s Special Light
- Henry Weinhardt’s Private Reserve
- Icehouse Edge
- Keylightful
- Keystone Ice
- Magnum
- Mickey’s Ice
- Miller High Life Light
- Milwaukee’s Best Premium
- Olde English HG 800
- Steel Reserve 211
