Australian Shepherd Has Trouble Finding Her Voice
Our late Australian Shepherd, Cali, was a howler. The one thing that always got her going was if any of her people crossed the street while she was left indoors or in the carport. It happened every time I went for a run. Ah-woooooooo! So mournful.

Emergency vehicle sirens would get Cali to howl, too. However, it seems that not all Aussies can do it. Watch below as a good girl tries to join a siren chorus. She has textbook form but no sound comes out. The spirit is willing; her voice just isn’t there.
