Starbucks Whips Up ‘Apple Crisp Macchiato’ For Fall
Yes, the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks. Fall wouldn’t come without the PSL. Apparently, Starbucks isn’t taking any chances. They’re doubling down on fall flavors this year with something new on their menu: the Apple Crisp Macchiato.
According to USA Today, the Apple Crisp Macchiato is made with a base of steamed milk and espresso, along with apple brown sugar syrup and topped with an apple caramel drizzle. You can get it hot or iced. Starbucks describes the hot version as being like warm apple pie, and the iced version like apple pie à la mode. It has been getting rave reviews.
Another coffee chain has also hopped on the apple train this fall. Dunkin’s fall menu includes the Apple Cider Donut and two new drinks: Apple Cranberry Dunkin’ Refresher and Apple Cranberry Dunkin’ Coconut Refresher.
As good as Starbucks’ new Apple Crisp Macchiato sounds, will it ever replace the Pumpkin Spice Latte? Did you know the now-iconic beverage has been around for 18 years. Where has the time gone?
Building on the popularity of fall flavor at Starbucks, we're excited to introduce the NEW Apple Crisp Macchiato. 🍁🍎 https://t.co/jqv9VzPCFA
