Virginia School Board Was Pranked Bart Simpson-Style
Any fan of The Simpsons will appreciate this. Among the show’s running gags are the phone calls from Bart to Moe’s Tavern. Moe answers, then Bart asks to speak to someone and gives a fake name. Moe inevitably announces to the bar patrons that he needs “Amanda Huggankiss” or that he was looking for a “Hugh Jass.” Read it out loud. It’s comedy gold.
Apparently, there’s a Bart Simpson fan in Henrico County, Virginia. Someone submitted fake names to be called for public comment during a recent county school board meeting. Thank goodness the man reading the names didn’t immediately catch on that he was being pranked. And thank goodness the video of the proceedings made it onto YouTube.
Some of the names were “Phil McCracken,” “Eileen Dover” and “Wayne Kuhr.” Those were the tame ones. Others were a little more NSFW, so you might want to put your earbuds in if you’re watching this at the office.
