The people have spoken and they have been heard. We want our Peanuts specials on regular TV. USA Today reports that “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” is returning to public television after a hiatus last year.
The Peanuts Halloween special was only available on Apple TV+ in 2020. However, this year Apple has reached a deal with PBS to air the spooky special this month. Following public outcry last year over “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” Apple allowed the Peanuts Thanksgiving and Christmas specials to air on PBS.
All three holiday specials will air on both PBS and PBS Kids this year. Here’s the schedule:
- “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” – Sun., Oct. 24th at 7:30 p.m. ET
- “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” – Sun., Nov. 21st at 7:30 p.m. ET
- “A Charlie Brown Christmas” – Sun., Dec. 19th at 7:30 p.m. ET
