Holiday Smackdown — Bear Cub vs. Inflatable Reindeer!
This is the first year I’ve had inflatable Christmas decorations in my yard. So far, so good. However, I did not take into account the possibility of the inflatables attracting wild animals into the neighborhood. According to UPI, it’s a very real possibility.
Donna Hargett of Monrovia, California captured and posted video of a bear cub going after an inflatable reindeer on a neighbor’s lawn. Watch below as the cub brawls with the giant inflatable Christmas decoration while the mama bear kept an eye on things from a feet away.
Hargett told a reporter that the mother and cub are frequent visitors to the neighborhood and have caused trouble before. But the good news is that, despite the little bear’s clawing and biting, the reindeer is no worse for the wear. I need to find out the name of the company that makes that inflatable.
I frequently hear coyotes in the woods behind my house. And then there are the hawks and owls. We’ll see how long my inflatables last.
