Your Original Holiday Recipe Could Be Worth Big Bucks

Plenty of home cooks have crowd-pleasing holiday recipes that were handed down through the family. But do you have one that you came up with entirely on your own? McCormick could have a big check for you!
According to Elite Daily, McCormick’s “My Holiday Recipe” contest will give one lucky winner $50,000 for sharing the details of their original recipe. Judges will choose the winner based on the recipe’s creativity, originality, use of ingredients, and seasonal representation.
Here’s what you need to know to enter:
- First, you’ll need to download the McCormick Flavor Maker app, which you can find on both the App Store and Google Play.
- The entry form is found in the app and it includes basic info as well as the details of your favorite holiday recipe.
- They’re only looking for original recipes you came up with yourself and not one you modified from another source.
- You have until December 31st at 11:59pm ET to enter, so they’re giving you until literally the last minute of the year to get it in.
- Judges will choose the winner based on the recipe’s creativity, originality, use of ingredients and seasonal representation.
- There’s a limit of one entry per person, so pick the one you think has the best chance of winning.
- The winner will be notified on or around January 31st and will get a check for $50,000!
