HGTV’s Rock the Block Kicks Off New Season in South Carolina
It’s time to Rock the Block!
HGTV’s show Rock the Block kicked off their season 3 premiere Monday just outside of Charleston, South Carolina. The show is a design competition featuring all-star HGTV superstar teams who will have six weeks plus a budget of $225,000 to renovate identical homes in Summerville, South Carolina.
Each week, the teams will renovate a different part of the home and compete to have the best overall design that week. In the end, the team that has the highest overall appraised value of the home will get their names placed on the street sign for that block, permanently!
MEET THIS SEASON’S COMPETITORS!
First, is superstar twins from the Pacific Northwest, real estate agents Leslie Davis and Lyndsay Lamb. Their show Unsellable Houses features them helping homeowners sell their homes by making renovations that allow for a better profit.
Up next, power couple from Arkansas, Dave and Jenny Marrs. On their show, Fixer to Fabulous, the Marrs renovate older homes in and around their hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas. They turn historic homes into updated, turn-key charming homes for new buyers.
Then, there is Detroit couple Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas who joined the HGTV team with their show Bargain Block. The show consists of Bynum and Thomas buying run-down and abandoned homes in Detroit and transforming them into stylish and creative starter homes for first-time homebuyers.
Finally, HGTV veterans Atlanta real estate broker Egypt Sherrod and her husband Mike Jackson. Their show Married to Real Estate features the couple getting their clients into their dream neighborhoods. With Egypt’s real estate expertise and her husband to help with renovations, they work to make their client’s dreams come true.
Season 3 kicked off Monday, February 28 on HGTV. New episodes every Monday at 9:00 p.m.
