Sweater-Wearing Possum Commutes By Subway
You see a lot of things on New York City subways. Musicians and dancers. People in various states of undress. Muggings. And, occasionally, a little bit of wildlife.
TikTok account @subwaycreaturesofficial posted a short clip of a woman traveling by subway with a basket full of possum. Not just any possum. It’s a possum in a turtleneck sweater who seems to be engrossed in the conversation between the woman and another passenger.
I often see possums in my neighborhood. With their beady little eyes and nasty rat-like tails. Darting across the street. Climbing in and out of sewers. Looking down from the trees. They creep me out a little. That being said, a sweater-wearing possum on a New York City subway is a children’s book waiting to be written.
