‘Central Perk’ Coffee Is Coming For ‘Friends’ Fans

A definitive list of iconic TV hangout spots would have to include the bar on Cheers; The Peach Pit on Beverly Hills, 90210; Monk’s Cafe on Seinfeld; The Regal Beagle on Three’s Company; Arnold’s on Happy Days; and, of course, Central Perk on Friends. If you’re a Friends fan and a coffee lover, you’ll soon be able to enjoy your java just like Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Ross, Phoebe, and Joey.

People reports that some new Central Perk coffees are coming your way. There are three coffee blends available in a subscription service, curated multi-blend sampler pack, or individual products in whole bean, ground, and K-Cup pods. Here’s the rundown:

  • “How You Doin’?” – Medium roast blend
  • “Pivot Blend” – Medium to dark roast
  • “We Were on a Coffee Break” – Dark roast blend

The first 6,000 subscribers to Central Perk Coffee get a collectible, individually numbered can of the “How You Doin’?” blend. But wait, there’s more…

An actual Central Perk Coffeehouse set to open in 2023, and there will be more than one! Warner Bros. says it “will be a place for fans (and friends) to slow down and come together over great coffee and eats.” The locations have not been announced yet, but you can stay up to date here.

Poll: '80s & '90s Were Best Decades For Television

According to a new poll from YouTube TV, Americans believe the ‘80s and ‘90s were the best decades for television. It’s hard to argue with that. I certainly like a lot of shows that were created after 2000, but we all tend to favor the anything we had or experienced when we were younger.

The Brighter Side of News reports that the survey of 2,000 adults revealed that about 75% admit they love watching reruns of their favorite shows. It’s like comfort food. When asked what makes a show “good” in the first place, 60% say it’s all about the cast and the writing. Another 65% say that the best shows have characters that remind them of people in their own lives.

So which shows made the list as the greatest of all time? Four out of the top five fall into the ’80s and ’90s categories. Those were “Friends,” “Seinfeld,” “Three’s Company,” and “Frasier.” “Game of Thrones” was the 21st Century exception. And only one reality show cracked the top 20. Can you guess which one?
