Shake Shack Fires Up ‘Hot Ones’ Menu
Can you take the heat? Fans of the YouTube series, Hot Ones, can get a taste of it for themselves as Shake Shack rolls out their new Hot Ones menu this week.
If you’ve never seen it, Hot Ones is a talk show hosted by Sean Evans. In each episode, he interviews a celebrity while they both eat plates of increasingly spicy chicken wings. It gets pretty painful for the interviewees. I sweat just watching it.
According to Chew Boom, Shake Shack’s new menu includes a Hot Ones-themed burger, chicken sandwich, cheese fries, and bacon cheese fries. You can dial up the heat even more by adding Last Dab: Apollo sauce, which is made from the Apollo Pepper. It’s said to exceed 3,000,000 Scoville Heat Units. Good luck with that.
The Hot Ones menu officially launches nationwide on Friday (9/16), but you can get exclusive early access now via the Shack App. The menu and Last Dab: Apollo sauce packets will only be available for a limited time. Shake Shack has locations in the Park Road Shopping Center, South End, Blakeney Town Center, and Huntersville.
Here are the new menu item descriptions:
- Hot Ones Burger: 100% Angus beef burger, Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce, applewood-smoked bacon, and Monterey Jack cheese on a toasted potato bun. Starting at $8.29.
- Hot Ones Chicken Sandwich: Crispy white-meat chicken, Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce, applewood-smoked bacon, and Monterey Jack cheese on a toasted potato bun. Starts at $8.59.
- Hot Ones Cheese Fries: Crispy crinkle cuts topped with cheese sauce, dusted with Aleppo Pepper (10,000 SHU), served with Hot Ones Spicy ShackSauce. Starting at $5.09.
