Behold The World’s Biggest Bobblehead!
A new Guinness World Record has been set. The world’s biggest bobblehead is now standing outside a discount closeout store in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.
According to Penn Live, the 16-and-a-half-foot tall bobblehead was unveiled on September 28th outside the Harrisburg flagship location of the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet chain. The replica of the retailer’s mascot, Ollie, was created in celebration of the company’s 40th anniversary. It weighs over 600 pounds and is coated with more than 10.5 gallons of paint.
The enormous Ollie is more than a foot taller than the previous Guinness World Record-holding bobblehead that Florida-based Applied Underwriters unveiled in 2016. That one was a supersized St. Bernard. It’s not just about height, though. The heads must actually bobble in order to qualify for the record. You can see both bobblehead behemoths below.
