We’re still waiting to see which two teams will be playing in Super Bowl LVII, but that shouldn’t stop us from planning our snacking menu for the big game. We may need to pump the brakes on this new beer from Hormel, though. That’s right…Hormel. The makers of Dinty Moore stew and SPAM have created their own beer.
You’ve heard of Beer:30? Well, get ready for Dip O’Clock! According to The Drinks Business, Hormel has launched Chili Cheese Brew just in time for America’s signature sporting event. The company teamed up with Minnesota’s Modist Brewing Co. to create the unusual product, which was inspired by Hormel’s signature Chili Cheese Dip. The dip I get; the beer I’m not so sure about. But blending your snacks with your beer does save time!
This limited-edition American lager (5.5% ABV) features Minnesota Pilsner barley malt and flaked corn with “a mix of savory spices and hints of cheddar cheese powder to bring the flavors of Hormel Chili Cheese Dip to life.” Four-packs of Hormel Chili Cheese Brew are available to purchase online for $24, shipping included, while supplies last. My order is already in so Mel and I will be trying it on camera.
