There is nothing like a Chick Fil A sandwich. Many try to put themselves in the chicken sandwich wars. And, there are a lot of good options out there. However, I always seem to come back to the one and only. Now, you can get free Chick Fil A sandwiches across the Charlotte area this week. A local owner at the Blakeney location said they wanted to treat loyal customers to a free sandwich as a sign of gratitude and support. According to WCNC, to claim the offer you need the app. Of course, that’s easy to download. Then, customers open it and redeem the reward at any of the participating locations through January 28. The deal is a limit one per person per account. Check here for locations participating.
If you find yourself addicted in a sense to that special chicken sandwich, you are not alone. And, the history of the chain dates way back to the 1940s. Founder Truett Cathy introduced one of the country’s first chicken sandwiches at his “Dwarf House” in Hapeville, Georgia. That restaurant focused on hamburger and steak. Then, in 1967 he took the same chicken recipe and opened the first Chick Fil A in Atlanta. According to entrepeneur.com, Chick Fil A generates more revenue per restaurant than any other fast food chain. And, fun fact I didn’t know is that the “A” in the name means Grade A. Plus, if you ever see a grand opening advertised, realize you’re in for a treat. The first 100 customers at a new Chick Fil A usually get free Chick Fil A for a year! That’s why folks camp out getting ready for the big day. It’s quite the phenomenon. Anyway, make sure you get free Chick Fil A sandwiches in North Carolina while you can!
It's True North Carolina Is One Of The Most Chick-Fil-A Obsessed States
Chick-Fil-A is undisputably my favorite fast food restaurant. It’s actually the only one I eat with any regularity. And probably 75% of what I ate in college. So I’ve done my part in this statistic and in helping make North Carolina one of the most Chick-Fil-A obsessed states. Though I’m surprised we aren’t higher on the list. And Georgia, the restaurant’s home state didn’t come in first!
Take a drive around Charlotte at lunchtime (or breakfast or dinner) and you’re bound to pass an extremely long Chick-fil-A drive-thru line. So its popularity is well documented. But where did this list come from? It actually came from a survey about favorite fast food dipping sauces. You know you love some Chick-Fil-A sauce though I’m partial to Polynesian.
The team at Upgraded Points wanted to know: Which U.S. states are the most obsessed with this fast food chain, according to residents? To find out, they asked respondents in each state which fast food restaurant is their favorite. They then determined the states with the highest % of respondents reporting Chick-fil-A as their favorite. And over 45% of North Carolina respondents named it their favorite chain!
