‘Puppy Bowl’ Will Be Seen On More Channels This Year
It’s a “go big or go home” year for the Puppy Bowl. The 19th annual televised pet adoption awareness event, and all-around celebration of adorable fur babies, will be seen on more channels than ever before.
Deadline reports that Warner Bros. Discovery has decided to beef up coverage of the Puppy Bowl with a massive simulcast. Last year’s trial of streaming the event on Discovery+ along with its run on Animal Planet was a rousing success, so it has earned the expansion. This year’s “game” will run on its usual network, Animal Planet, as well as on the Discovery Channel, TBS, HBO Max, and Discovery+.
Puppy Bowl XIX will feature nearly 125 puppies from 67 rescues and shelters in 34 states. For the first time ever, puppies from a Native American pet organization and from Dominica, an island nation in the West Indies, will also take the field. You can meet the players of Team Ruff and Team Fluff here. The “battle” for the Lombarky Trophy begins on Sunday, February 12th, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern.
The epic battle between Team Ruff and Team Fluff is now bigger than ever!
