Folks On TikTok Say ‘Shower Orange’ Is Life Changing
Phil and I are both big fans of oranges, but when I eat one, I always make a mess. Of course, when I eat anything, I make a mess, so there’s that! Randomly today I saw this story on ‘Shower Orange’ and I became intrigued.
According to Yahoo, this trend is viral on TikTok. The original video posted by @au.stino has over 7.2 million views so I had to check it out. Eating an orange in a warm shower eliminates any stickiness. And according to the video, you don’t have to worry about making a mess. Easy clean up in the shower! Also, the citrus scent in the shower is intensified. The smell of citrus is said to be a stress reliever so eating an orange in the shower could help you if you’re feeling anxious.
Comments on the viral video are mostly positive. Some people are grossed out about eating something in the bathroom, but most folks think this is a good idea. One person commented, ‘Just tried it my bathroom was left smelling with that beautiful citrus smell it was a magical experience 10/10 would recommend.’
I recently bought oranges from the grocery store, so I decided to give this a try before work. I took an orange into the shower with me but waited a few minutes before eating it. Since I have a bag of oranges, I put them in the fridge, so they won’t go bad. I’m not a fan of cold fruit, so I figured the steam in the shower would warm up the orange. And it did!
Before shampooing my hair or soaping up, I ate the orange. It still took me a minute to peel it. I don’t have a lot of shelf space in my shower, so I put the peel where I could. Eating in the shower was odd, but I will admit that I loved the sharp citrus smell the orange made in the shower! I wouldn’t say it was a 10/10 experience, but I didn’t hate it. I think I’d rather go for some citrus smelling body scrub or soap that smells like citrus rather than eating in the shower.
