Domino’s Says They Will Now Deliver Your Pizza Anywhere You Want
When you want to get a pizza delivered, you usually have to give them your address. But what if you don’t want the food delivered to your home or office? Domino’s is changing the pizza game with the launch of a new “anywhere” delivery option through their app.
According to The Takeout, the new service is called Pinpoint Delivery. It allows customers to order by dropping a pin on a map. The pizza chain says it’s ideal for summer, since people are spending more time at beaches and parks, where their exact location may not be easy to find.
With Pinpoint Delivery, after dropping a pin on a map, you’ll be able to track your order and see the driver’s location with GPS, as well as get text alerts on your delivery. When the delivery person arrives, you can activate a “visual signal” on your phone to help the delivery driver find you. Like a Bat Signal for pizza!
While the Pinpoint Delivery service is new to the U.S., Domino’s started doing something similar, called Domino’s Anywhere, in Australia and New Zealand in 2017. No matter what they call it, I love this idea. It will make planning for outdoor gatherings and celebrations, such as graduation parties, a lot more convenient. Of course, you don’t want to make it too tough on the delivery person. Check out what this guy had to do:
