‘Duke The Dog’ Really Doesn’t Care What Day Or Time It Is, He Wants To Swim
We’ve all heard the saying, ‘I give ZERO ducks’ (you know what word goes there) and there’s a dog on social media that is going viral for his ‘I don’t care’ attitude and I love it! ‘Duke the Dog’ loves to go swimming, and he really doesn’t care what day or time it is. However, his owner does, and you can’t help but laugh as she tries to reel in her pool obsessed dog.
According to wideopenpets.com, Duke is a Golden Retriever that loves to swim. His owner, @Kimberlyclark78 on TikTok, is seen scolding her swimming pup while the dog takes a dip at 9 p.m. In the now viral video, you hear Duke’s owner say, “It’s 9 o’clock at night. What are you doing in the pool? It is not time to go swimming. It is not Saturday. Today is Tuesday dude”. Duke totally ignores his owner and convinces her to throw his ball a few times in the pool.
In another video, Duke is swimming in the pool at 7 a.m. on a weekday. His owner continually tells him it’s not Saturday, and that he needs to get out of the pool because she has to go to work. However, the more she tells Duke to get out, the further Duke goes in the pool. It’s hilarious! Duke is tall enough to stand in the above ground pool and can obviously hop in and out as he pleases.
In both videos, you can see that Duke knows he’s not supposed to be in the pool, but he really doesn’t care. Without a doubt, Duke is a big fan of the water! I’m not sure where Duke and his owner live, but in most states around the country, temps are extremely high. You can’t be mad at poor Duke! He probably just wants to cool off. Or maybe he’s trying to stay slim and get some laps in. LOL!
I love that Duke digs the water! A few years ago, my dog Kramer took swimming lessons and was less than thrilled. After the first few times in the water, he got used to it. There are lots of videos of Duke swimming and it’s a blast to watch him swimming. He loves the water!
No matter what the reason is, it’s fun to watch cute Duke ignoring his owner as he enjoys the water.
