Charlotte Hornets Have A New Sponsor On Their Jerseys For The 2023-24 Season
The NBA preseason gets underway this week as the Charlotte Hornets have entered a new ownership phase. Michael Jordan sold most of his shares in the team to Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin, who took over as majority owners back in July. That’s not the only change for the Hornets this season. You’ll notice there’s a new patch on the players’ jerseys.
One of MrBeast’s brands is teaming up with the Charlotte Hornets this season. According to ESPN, the YouTube icon’s Feastables brand will be the team’s official jersey patch partner. The snack line includes chocolate bars, cookies, and gummies. Not that kind of gummies. You can buy them online or in stores such as 7-Eleven, Walmart, and Target.
The brand was founded by MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson. The 25-year-old happens to be a native of Greenville, North Carolina. MrBeast is the highest-paid YouTube channel in America, with over 188-million subscribers and over two billion monthly video views. He’s also on TikTok, X, and Instagram with a grand total of over 350 million combined followers. Ask your kids about him. They know.
This is reportedly the first social media creator-led partnership in the NBA. Hornets’ press conferences will also feature Feastables snack branding as part of the deal. In other words, every time you see a Hornets player or coach speaking to reporters, the Feastables logo will be on the screen behind them.
Welcome to the fam, @MrBeast! 💕🕺🏽 https://t.co/QzXlD0gpqN
