Born and raised in Charleston, celebrity chef Kardea Brown knows more than a thing or two about “delicious eats.” The South Carolina native has been hosting her TV show, Delicious Miss Brown, from her home on Edisto Island since 2019. She also published her first cookbook, The Way Home, which celebrates Gullah/Geechee cooking traditions, in 2022.
For her next act, Kardea Brown is bringing her culinary creations to the frozen foods section. According to Chew Boom, the popular Food Network personality has drawn on her South Carolina roots with a new line of Southern-inspired frozen entrees called “Delicious Eats by Kardea Brown.” There are four items available now at Walmart stores across the U.S.
Delicious Eats by Kardea Brown
- Country Kitchen Fried Chicken: A good place to start! Crispy chicken flavored with a blend of savory spices and seasonings. Oh, and creamy, buttery mashed potatoes on the side.
- Chicken Pot Pie: One of my all-time favorite meals! It’s a medley of tender chicken pieces and farm-fresh vegetables including carrots, peas, and celery all nestled in a flaky, golden-brown crust.
- Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo: This sounds more Italian, but wait for it. This entree is made with pieces of juicy grilled chicken on a bed of fettuccini and (here it comes) collard greens, all topped with a low country style cream sauce.
- Sausage & Grits: Gotta have grits in the South! How about savory smoked kielbasa and perfectly prepared parmesan grits? Yes, please.
