He's a monster, a vile one, a nasty-wasty skunk! Dating back to 1957, he has been in children's books, on TV, and in major motion pictures. And now Dr Seuss' The Grinch is getting his own talk show. Judging from the people involved in it, I'm guessing it won't be "an appalling dump heap overflowing with the most disgraceful assortment of deplorable rubbish imaginable."

According to Entertainment Weekly, the new ’Tis the Grinch Holiday Talk Show podcast is coming just in time for the 2023 holiday season. Saturday Night Live cast member James Austin Johnson is the voice of "the king of sinful sots." You may know James for his impressions of Donald Trump and Joe Biden on SNL. That sounds like the perfect preparation for playing The Grinch. Oops, did I type that out loud?

The podcast will follow The Grinch as he becomes a late night talk show host and chats about Christmas. He'll even be joined by celebrity guests such as SNL alum Bobby Moynihan, comedian Patton Oswalt, and Olympic gymnastics champion Shawn Johnson East. The podcast’s set to premiere November 1st on Wondery+. It will then get a wider release on November 6th with new episodes dropping weekly.

Here's a behind-the-scenes look at James Austin Johnson recording an episode of the upcoming ’Tis the Grinch Holiday Talk Show podcast. He sounds great!
