The Date Is Set For The 2023 Carolina Panthers & Charlotte FC Tree Lighting
Another Halloween is in the books so it’s time bring on the rest of the holiday season. That means Christmas tree lightings! One of the most popular ones in Charlotte is held every year at Bank of America Stadium. The Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC will host their annual Tree Lighting on Tuesday, November 21st at the corner of Mint Street and Graham Street.
This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Tree Lighting festival where folks from across the Carolinas come together for a night of holiday cheer. The fun starts at 5:00 p.m. and continues until 8:00 p.m. The event is free but, just as with Panthers Fan Fest, you will need to get mobile tickets to attend.
The tree itself is a 50-foot-tall Norway Spruce harvested from Newland, NC. According to the Charlotte FC website, it will be lit at 7:00 p.m. with over 50,000 string lights. The official Instagram post says it will be lit at 7:30 p.m. but, to be safe, I would get there before 7:00 p.m. The tree will be on display just outside of Bank of America Stadium all holiday season long. The festival will also include:
- Special guest appearances and performances from the Black & Blue Crew , PurrCussion, Sir Minty, Sir Purr, the TopCats and, or course, Santa Claus.
- Fan-favorite activities and holiday staples such as photo opportunities, letter writing, a holiday movie, free hot cocoa, and more.
- Fun, interactive stations for guests, such as blanket-making station with the TopCats and a Carolina Panthers/Charlotte FC Color-Your-Own Snow Globe Station.
- Food and beverage options available for purchase from local food vendors.
- Guests are encouraged to bring unused winter accessories, such as hats, gloves and scarves to be donated to Communities in Schools.
