Krispy Kreme Celebrating 20 Years Of ‘Elf’ With Limited Edition Doughnuts
Krispy Kreme is hitting the Christmas season running with a new doughnut collection. It’s inspired by the beloved Will Ferrell holiday movie Elf, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. In fact, the flick is back in theaters now. According to the press release, Krispy Kreme is unveiling four limited edition Elf doughnuts. They even include that cavity-inducing breakfast concoction that Buddy the Elf threw together.
Here’s what you’ll find in the Elf collection:
- New Buddy Snow Globe Doughnut: Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in sugar cookie light blue icing and white sprinkles, topped with powdered sugary snow and a chocolate Elf piece.
- New Buddy Makes Breakfast Doughnut: Original Glazed Doughnut topped with cake batter spaghetti buttercreme, milk chocolate colorful candies, sprinkles, and a maple drizzle.
- New Christmas Lights Doughnut: Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in rich chocolate icing, drizzled with green icing, and topped with rainbow sprinkles and a chocolate Elf piece.
- Santa Belly Doughnut: Santa belly doughnut filled with Cookies & Kreme filling, dipped in red icing and decorated with Santa’s belt and belt buckle candy piece.
I was expecting something purple-y. Nevertheless, you can grab the limited edition Elf doughnuts beginning Friday, November 24th at participating Krispy Kreme locations. Select grocery stores, including Food Lion, Walmart, and Publix, will have six-packs of the festive new creations.
One more thing! Mark your calendar for Tuesday, December 12th. That’s when Krispy Kreme is offering its annual “Day of the Dozens.” Get it, 12/12? On that day, you can get an Original Glazed dozen for just $1 with the purchase of any dozen at regular price. It will be available in stores, drive-thru, or online for pick-up or delivery. You may also want to add a holiday-inspired beverage like the sugar cookie latte (hot, iced, or frozen) and the Ghirardelli hot chocolate.
