Bobby’s Burgers: Celebrity Chef Opening Restaurant In Charlotte, North Carolina
Heads up, foodies! Celebrity chef, restaurateur, TV host, and cookbook author Bobby Flay is bringing one of his dining concepts to the Queen City. According to the Charlotte Business Journal, Flay is opening a Bobby’s Burgers in Charlotte this spring. It will be located at SouthPark Towers, a mixed-use office complex at 6000 Fairview Road.
Not to be confused with the fictional Bob’s Burgers of Fox animation fame, Bobby’s Burgers has seven types of hamburgers on the menu, as well as a veggie burger based on a recipe from the celebrity chef’s Food Network show, Beat Bobby Flay. The new restaurant will also offer a fried chicken sandwich, buttermilk onion rings, sweet potato fries, bacon cheese fries, and milkshakes. Bobby’s Burgers will even serve breakfast until 11:00 AM.
The SouthPark location will the eighth one in the growing chain. Frank Scibelli, the man behind Charlotte favorites Mama Ricotta’s, Midwood Smokehouse, and Calle Sol, is partnering with Flay on this endeavor, which will also serve as a test kitchen where Flay will create new recipes further develop the Bobby’s Burgers brand. His franchising team is already headquartered here. Another location is expected to open inside Raleigh-Durham International Airport this year, too.
Bobby Flay has to be one of the hardest working people in the hospitality industry. To date, Flay has hosted at least 17 TV series and published 14 cookbooks. That’s on top of overseeing his other restaurants, including the multiple Bobby’s Burger’s locations; Bobby’s Burger Palace in Atlanta and Uncasville, Connecticut; and Amalfi in Las Vegas. I can’t wait to try Bobby’s Burgers!
