TV News Correspondent Reports In Six Languages
How many different languages did you study in school? How many do you still remember? I studied three: French, Latin, and Spanish. I only remember a little bit of French. Ordering food at a Mexican restaurant doesn’t count as remembering Spanish. I admire people who are truly multilingual.
Philip Crowther is a reporter for the Associated Press. More specifically, he’s an international affiliate correspondent…because he’s fluent in six languages. He speaks in English, Luxembourgish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German. With all the world watching what’s happening in Ukraine, Mr. Crowther is very much in demand.
Watch below as Philip Crowther reports from Kyiv on the Ukraine situation in all six languages. Notice how his microphones change for the different networks he’s serving. Je suis impressionné.
