Is Cup Noodle Doing Breakfast Now?
I loved cheap supermarket ramen in college and was never above starting my morning (or afternoon) with one. Now, it makes a little more sense. If you’re craving something different for your first meal of the day, Nissin Foods has just the thing for you. The company is reportedly offering a unique twist on breakfast with the introduction of Cup Noodles Breakfast.
Nissin Foods compares their new product to a “classic diner breakfast in a cup.” The new limited edition Cup Noodles Breakfast blends ramen with fan-favorite breakfast flavors, including pancakes, maple syrup, sausage, and eggs. According to CNN, it takes four minutes to cook and contains “visible ingredients” of sausage and eggs mixed in with the ramen noodles. Visible ingredients. That’s comforting. Translation: there’s something floating in your ramen.
Cup Noodles Breakfast comes in the brand’s iconic styrofoam packaging and is supposed to sell for $1.18 at select Walmart locations nationwide as well as on their website. I haven’t actually seen it anywhere yet, which could be why some people think this is an April Fool’s joke. Perhaps, but let’s not forget Nissin Foods gave us Pumpkin Spice Cup Noodles not too long ago. Mel and I tried it on a “Nosh or Nasty” video and that was all too real.
