Woman Fined By Airline For TikTok Clothing Baggage Hack
Traveling by plane is expensive and most airlines will charge you if you’re baggage is over their weight limit. Once when my luggage was over the weight limit, I changed shoes before boarding the plane. I took out some heavy platform shoes so my bag would weigh less. I was not about to pay a damn fee! There are lots of ways folks try and get out of the airline fees, and one woman didn’t quite make it.
An Australian woman was slapped with a fine after trying to avoid an airline baggage fee. She put on more than 13 pounds of clothing, and her video is going viral. According to the New York Post, Adriana Ocampo was flying to her hometown from Melbourne on Jetstar Airways. Her luggage was over the airline’s 15-pound limit. Ocampo began pulling clothing items out of her luggage and putting them on.
In the viral video, she’s seen laughing hysterically as she yanks all her clothing out of the suitcase and puts things on til she has on 15 different things, including an iPad stuffed in her pants. Her friend also begins putting clothes on. The two end up looking like Randy from ‘A Christmas Story’.
The wild hack didn’t work, and the two had to pay the airline the $65 fine. What’s worse is that they had to fly with all they clothing they put on. Just looking at the video makes me hot! Too much clothing for me!
Jetstar Airways commented on the situation saying, ‘While we certainly see the funny side, we have limits to carry-on to make it fair for everyone. Keeping track of how much baggage passengers bring onboard means everyone has room for their belongings and we’re meeting our safety requirements.”
