IHOP Is Serving Up Sweet And Savory Pancake Tacos This Month
If you’ve ever picked up a pancake and, say, folded it with some scrambled eggs, bacon, or fruit inside of it, you may able to lay claim to inventing the pancake taco. Lots of us, including myself, have made them because it was so natural to use a pancake as a tortilla. Why didn’t I ever try to capitalize on this? Well, the folks at IHOP are on top of it. That’s why they’re in the restaurant business and I’m not.
According to Chew Boom, IHOP is offering sweet and savory Pancake Tacos through July 30, 2023. They’re made with IHOP’s smaller silver dollar pancakes for easy “handheldability.” Is that even a word? You can find the new Pancake Tacos at participating IHOP locations starting at $6 for one order of three same-flavored tacos. The flavors include:
- Fresh Strawberry Cheesecake Pancake Taco: Fresh sliced strawberries and creamy cheesecake mousse inside a folded silver dollar pancake. IHOP recommends topping it with chocolate chips. Why not?
- Caramel Banana Pancake Taco: Creamy cheesecake mousse drizzled with vanilla sauce and dulce de leche caramel sauce topped with sliced bananas inside a folded silver dollar pancake. IHOP recommends topping this one with chocolate chips, too.
- Breakfast Pancake Taco: Scrambled eggs, hickory-smoked bacon, jack & cheddar cheese blend, and white cheese sauce inside a folded silver dollar pancake. IHOP recommends topping it with salsa for an extra kick.
- Country Chicken and Gravy Pancake Taco: Crispy chicken, shredded hashbrowns, and country gravy inside a folded silver dollar pancake. IHOP recommends topping it with pickles for extra crunch.
