IKEA Rolls Out Massive Turkey-Sized Meatballs For Christmas
IKEA really tries to be all things to all people. And they’re succeeding! I mean, an entire family could easily live in one of their spacious stores. They have everything you need: furniture for every room of the house, plants and artwork so you have something to gaze upon, plenty of fun stuff for the kids, and food. Of course, the first food at IKEA one thinks of is their iconic Swedish meatballs, often served with lingonberry sauce and gravy.
This holiday season, IKEA has decided to roll out bigger balls. Much bigger. According to Fox Business, the home furnishings retailer is debuting a “turkey-sized” meatball for Christmas. IKEA made the announcement saying “It’s big. It’s tasty. It’s a proper Christmas showstopper. Introducing the IKEA Turkey-Sized Meatball. Find out how to get your mittens on one soon.”
The novelty-sized Swedish meatball looks like it came straight out of the children’s story, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. If one of these fell from the sky, it could do some serious damage. So how do you get it home and cook it? It’s simple, really, just like everything else from IKEA. The mammoth meatball comes in a box that you just pop in the oven.
Yes, we have an IKEA in Charlotte. No, you can’t get the Turkey-Sized Meatball there. Darn it. The big ball is only available in UK stores. For now. Let’s hope IKEA releases it in the U.S. next year. Can you imagine showing up at a holiday potluck with this thing? You’d be hailed a hero! Here’s what the massive meatball looks like nestled on a bed of mashed potatoes:
