The Sears Wish Book Is Back

Do you remember the thrill of poring over the toy-filled pages of the Sears Wish Book? Dating back to 1933, the Wish Book was as much of a holiday tradition as picking out the family Christmas tree. No red-blooded American child (or adult, for that matter) could resist leafing through Sears’ glossy gift-laden catalog. The struggling retailer hasn’t put out a Wish Book since 2011, but it’s back.
The 2017 edition isn’t quite as hefty as the ones I remember. The new Wish Book weighs in at about 120 pages and, of course, is also available online. However, despite the differences, it’s still nice to be reminded of something fun from one’s childhood. Here’s a look back at some Sears Wish Books you might remember:
