Indiana Cheerleaders Save College Basketball Game
The 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship is in full swing. So far, the games have been fun to watch with a few early round upsets that have already caused more than a few brackets to go bust (Congratulations, St. Peter’s!). Even the cheerleaders are providing highlights.
During the first round match-up between the Indiana Hoosiers and St. Mary’s Gaels, the basketball got stuck between the top of the backboard and the shot clock. None of the players could jump that high to dislodge the ball so two Indiana cheerleaders were enlisted to help.
Once the female cheerleader was hoisted up by one Indiana’s male stunters, she was easily able to retrieve the ball, and the game could continue. The Hoosiers ultimately lost to St. Mary’s by a whopping 29 points but at least their cheerleading team received a nice round of applause.
