Krispy Kreme Celebrating National Dog Day With ‘Doggie Doughnuts’ For Your Pup
Once again this year, North Carolina-based Krispy Kreme is offering a limited-edition line of “doggie doughnuts” for your pooch. In honor of National Dog Day on Saturday, August 26th, participating Krispy Kreme locations will be selling six all-natural, doughnut-shaped dog biscuits inspired by some of their classic fall varieties. And since it’s that time of year, there’s pumpkin in them. I mean, pup’kin!
According to Chew Boom, the Pup’kin Spice Doggie Doughnuts are specifically designed for dogs of all sizes and ages. Krispy Kreme has packaged the treats in special six-count boxes which include the Pup’kin Spice Original Glazed, Pup’kin Spice Cake, Pup’kin Spice Maple Peanut, and Pup’kin Spice Cheesecake Swirl flavors.

These dog-safe treats are actually handmade by Huds and Toke, an artisan baked pet treat company based in Australia. Each one is made with a hard-baked cookie and ingredients including pumpkin, peanut butter, and carob, which is a chocolate substitute. They’re intended to only be a snack, not a complete meal for your dog.
The Pup’kin Spice Doggie Doughnut boxes will be available in-shop and via drive-thru Friday, August 25th through August 31st or until they sell out, whichever comes first. On top of that, Krispy Kreme is rolling out a stylish dog accessory: a limited-edition red bandana featuring a pattern of dogs, bones, and doughnuts. They come in one size that fits most dogs and will be also available while supplies last at participating Krispy Kreme locations.
