What Is Your Family Doing To Avoid Cabin Fever?
This isn’t how spring was supposed to start. We’re supposed to be playing sports in the park and hanging out with friends on outdoor patios at restaurants and breweries. We can’t even go to work or school! Instead, we’re all stuck in our homes. But you know what? We’re getting creative and making the best of it.
From now on, every Friday is “Family Fun Friday!” We want to know what you’re doing to keep cabin fever at bay. Movie nights, gardening, video games, arts & crafts projects?
My wife and I have been going for long runs. By the time life gets back to normal, I hope to be ready to enter my first half-marathon. Sara has also been baking a lot. She’s getting really good at it, which is another reason I need to run so much.

We bought a lacrosse goal for my youngest son so that he can keep practicing while high school sports are shut down. I’m starting to throw the ball around with him a bit, too. If you see me missing a tooth, that will probably be why.
My oldest son has been accepted at UNC, so he’s just trying to finish everything up for his high school graduation and wrap his head around moving to Chapel Hill. I just hope he gets to start the fall semester there instead of online. I’ve already rented out his room!
Other than that, we’ve been giving our dog, Cali, lots of walks, shooting hoops in the driveway, taking care of the yard, and watching weird documentaries about shady zoo operators. What has your family been up to these past few weeks?
