Gastonia Business Helping Keep Stray Animals Warm
I saw this story on Facebook and thought it was awesome! I’m a huge dog lover, and it makes my heart happy that local people are doing things to help stray animals.
AJ and Melissa Lawing own a landscaping business in Gastonia, and are they are using their skills to help keep stray dogs warm this winter. Animal Care and Enforcement reached out to them with a need for dog houses, and they decided to help. As of last week, the couple, along with their office manager McKenzie Osbourne, have constructed 17 dog houses.
The couple are dog lovers. They have two German shepherds, Zailei and Diamond. The dogs go to work with the couple daily. Melissa Lawing says she rescued one of them the day before the animal was to be euthanized at the Gaston County Animal Shelter.
I don’t know AJ and Melissa Lawing, but I think what they are doing is absolutely amazing! You can read more about the Lawings and their business here. Keep rockin AJ and Melissa! What you are doing kicks ass!
