Woman Starts Pig Clothing Line For Her 200lb Pet
Many of us have picked up new hobbies over the last year but this woman has taken it to the extreme! A Florida woman started her own clothing company because her pet pig grew to 200 pounds.
Doreen Burke started Snort LifeΒ when her pet pig Rosie grew out of doggie outfits. Six months after adopting Rosie, she realized that custom clothes were needed for her pet. So Burke watched videos and taught herself to sew. Her self taught skill quickly turned into a business. There are clown and cowboy costumes, superhero costumes, formal wear and more available at Snort Life.
Burke soon discovered that she wasn’t the only pet pig owner that liked to dress up their pet. Her customers send their pigs’ measurements to her so that she can create the perfect attire for the mud-loving creatures.
Pig outfits aren’t all that Burke does. She works a full time job and has a three year old child, so she stays busy. She sews her festive pig outfits at night, once her son goes to sleep. Obviously she has a real love for making the festive piggy costumes.
When I perused her website, I was amazed at all the different types of clothing she makes. I think my favorite category is the “Pigshionista” dresses. Tutu’s and ruffles! Who wouldn’t want to see a pig dressed in fun attire.
Snort Life is definitely fun to check out and kudos to Burke for learning a new skill to make her pet pig fancy and fun. And congrats to her for turning her hobby into a money maker. Very cool! And as you can see, the pet pigs look quite happy in their fun attire. Love it!
