It’s always better to be safe than sorry…because you never know. What if you suddenly find yourself with something big to celebrate…or a ship to christen…but don’t have any Champagne on hand? That’s why you need an Emergency Champagne Phone!
A hotel in Fort Worth, Texas wants to make sure all of its guests have the Champagne they need when they need it. Food & Wine reports that the Kimpton Harper has partnered with Veuve Clicquot to make that happen with the touch of a button. They literally installed an Emergency Champagne Phone in every room.
According to a spokesperson for the hotel, visitors can enjoy Champagne delivered immediately to their room by picking up the Champagne hotline, which is a vintage-looking rotary phone, and simply requesting a bottle. The Champagne comes with signature yellow label Veuve Clicquot glasses, which guests can even take home. The Champagne phone will be a permanent amenity and feature different Champagne brands throughout the year.
Kimpton also has a property in uptown Charlotte, the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel. I could see the Champagne phone being popular here. What kind of hotline would you want in your house? My wife and I could definitely use an Emergency Coffee Phone. When we run low on coffee, it becomes a crisis.
