Colorado Bear Captured In Trail Cam Taking ‘Selfies’
I love seeing nature photos. Wild animals and their habits are fascinating to me! Of course, I like to learn and see pictures online, I’m not a camping or hiking person. Mostly because those same wild animals could appear, and that’s a big NOPE for me. As long as I see them from far away or online, I’m good! There’s a bear in Colorado that wanted to be seen big time, and the pictures are a hoot!
According to People, a trail camera set up in the Colorado wilderness was set up to capture different wildlife photos. But one bear decided that this was his/her time to shine! Rangers say one 580 pictures were taken in one night and over 400 of them were of the same bear making selfies!
City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) have nine cameras across 46,000 acres to see how the animals use the area. When they checked the cameras to see what types of wildlife were captured, rangers found one very curious bear in 100’s of pictures. In many of the pictures, the bear is close to the camera, staring into the lens.
When you see the pictures, it looks like the bear is posing for pictures for a dating site! It’s too cute. OSMP is unclear why the bear is seen in so many photos posing, but they’re happy to have the footage. The pictures almost make you think the bear is friendly! You wanna reach out and pet it. THEN you remember it’s a wild animal and might rip you to shreds. But it’s cool to see the cute bear in the pics.
