Woman Stops Neighbors Barking Dog With Song
What do you do if your neighbors dog is barking all night long? The first thing is to chat with them. What if that doesn’t work and the authorities can’t do anything? Well, then you get crafty. And loud.
A woman on TikTok is going viral for sharing the way she’s getting back at her neighbors yapping dog. Saphire Jess has spoken with her neighbors about their dog barking every day from 5 p.m. until 3 a.m. Nothing was done, so she called the police. They said they couldn’t do anything. Jess came up with a solution: play the tune “Who Let The Dogs Out” on repeat for six hours straight outside for the neighbors to hear.
According to the New York Post, Jess’ neighbors sleep during the day because they work the night shift. So since their dog keeps her and her children awake half the night, she decided to keep them up all day.
It’s definitely a passive-aggressive tactic and petty, but apparently it worked. Jess posted a follow up video, mentioning a few other tunes that she put on blast, and she says she hasn’t heard the dog barking for more than 10 minutes at a time. Obviously, her tactic worked!
Dog owners and others had comments, most supporting Jess. One TikTok user wrote, βAs a dog owner, I fully support you doing this. Anyone who allows their dog to bark continuously is a PROBLEM.β Another said, “If u don’t get to sleep neither do they.”
Most responsible dog owners would make sure this didn’t happen, training the dog or even crating the dog when they aren’t home. I’m sure the dog is lonely or may have separation anxiety when the owners aren’t home.
