Parrot Mimics Owner Singing Rock Tune
There’s a guy on TikTok that is a rock fan and his parrot is too! Growing up as a teenager in the 80’s, our family had an African Grey parrot. It was my dad’s bird, and he was the only one that could interact with it. But the bird would mimic the entire family, and had some ‘interesting’ phrases.
If you’re unfamiliar with this type of parrot, they are extremely bright and are known for mimicking noises heard in their environment and using them tirelessly. Our bird was in our den, where my dad watched television. My dad is a HUGE Tarheel fan, and used to watch games in the den.
Back then my dad would yell and curse while the Tarheel’s played basketball. Our bird would mimic him, repeating curses back and random times. We’d be having dinner and the bird would say, ‘Come on heels! Get the damn ball.’ And that was one of the tamer phrases he’d say. LOL! My friends used to love to come over to hear the bird talk.
@thegmanshow on TikTok has an African Grey that has picked up on his love of rock music. I guess the guy has played Drowning Pool’s song ‘Bodies’ lots and the bird now knows some of the lyrics. It is hilarious to watch and hear this bird give his best metal scream!
